The NLRHC Palliative Care project involved a comprehensive renovation of three patient rooms, each featuring in-room family support lounges with kitchenettes and washrooms. One of the rooms was specifically designated for bariatric patient care. The renovation included new ceilings, lighting, and flooring, along with updated partitions, headwalls, and the installation of sliding barn-style doors. The washrooms were fully renovated, and new kitchenettes and in-room handwash sinks were also added.

The shared family lounge was upgraded with new flooring, lighting, and a digital fireplace display, complemented by large wall graphics that added warmth and visual interest to the space.
