Over the years, Canmore has seen significant growth in both population and tourism. Many residents and visitors engage in outdoor activities such as skiing and mountain biking, which, unfortunately, has led to a rise in the number of injuries. To accommodate this increase in demand, a comprehensive renovation of the Emergency Department at Canmore General Hospital has become necessary. The renovation will expand patient capacity by adding four additional rapid assessment spaces, a larger waiting area, and barrier-free washrooms. The new triage and registration area will also be redesigned for improved accessibility and a more welcoming experience for patients.
