Improbable Canada Inc., a video games tech company headquartered in London UK, opened a new office studio in Edmonton, Alberta. Already occupying the third floor of the historic 1914 Metals Building in the downtown district as a temporary solution, the scope of work consisted of two renovation phases - renovate the previously demolished second floor for the Improbable Team to move into, and then demolish the third floor and renovate it to become the main reception floor.

As well as creating a unique concept for their brand, providing boardrooms, open office layout, touchdown stations, gaming niche, community areas and washrooms on both floors, the security access control and video systems installed throughout the space was critical. Special attention was given during design to solve potential sound transfer issues from the original wood structure between the 2nd and 3rd floor.
