Eagle Builders Centre Multiplex
Blackfalds, AlbertaThe Eagle Builders Centre Multiplex originally began as an arena expansion to accommodate a second ice surface. When complete, it grew to include a regional library and a facility for the Junior A minor hockey team, enhancing its role as a central recreational hub. This iconic design solidifies the Town of Blackfalds, Lacombe County, and Central Alberta as a key area for regional sports and leisure activities, for both its residents and catchment area.
The new 1,300-seat bowl facility with loge seating complements the existing 300-seat ice surface. Equipped with broadcast capabilities, the arena is suitable for both ice and non-ice events, such as concerts, curling bonspiels, and Junior A tournaments. The AJHL Blackfalds Bulldogs team facility includes dressing rooms, offices, lounges, treatment rooms, and dryland training spaces. The new 1,115 m² community library spans two levels, providing universal accessibility and inclusive design, with multipurpose rooms and a rooftop outdoor patio.
