Pointe-aux-Pins Acres construction begins this summer
Shovels will hit the ground later this summer marking the formal construction of the Pointe-aux-Pins Acres (The Pointe) agricultural facility, following Council’s approval on the facility design and scope. As a proud partner of the project, ACI looks forward to contributing the County's vision.
The Pointe Agricultural Event Centre is an exciting new 100,000 sq. ft. facility for Strathcona County that represents the vital importance of agriculture to the community. Once complete, the facility will be a fully accessible destination that supports the hosting of year-round activities including community agricultural events and demonstrations.
The Pointe’s design meets a wide-variety of facility uses that include key elements such as arena space, animal housing, an animal wash bay, concrete floor and overall indoor and outdoor site layout and utilities. The Pointe design also includes considerations for bio-security measures for animal and human health. The Pointe has the capacity to host year-round regional-sized events.
