First opened in 1914, Highlands School has been a cornerstone of Edmonton’s historic community for over a century. In 2018, ACI had the privilege of leading the school’s modernization and designing an impressive new addition, increasing its capacity by 800 students. The enduring strength of the school's masonry architecture has preserved its original charm, making it a lasting symbol of educational heritage and architectural resilience. Now, with modernized systems and a significant expansion, Highlands is poised to continue serving the community for generations to come.
