Janice is an Architectural Technologist who works in the space where creativity meets construction. Her days are filled with drawing, detailing, coordinating, measuring, questioning, and problem-solving, with the occasional existential crisis over a section detail that somehow made it through three revisions. She especially enjoys the challenge of translating ideas into buildable solutions, balancing design intent with the realities of building code, budget, and the occasional request to "just make it a little bigger."

One of the aspects of architecture Janice enjoys most is that no two projects are the same. Every challenge presents an opportunity to think differently, ask questions, and uncover a solution that may not have been obvious at first. She values learning from the people around her and believes strong projects are built through collaboration, open dialogue, and a willingness to explore different perspectives. By her own estimate, architecture is about 10% creativity, 40% technical knowledge, and 50% figuring out what everyone else meant.

Outside of work, Janice enjoys reading, gaming, and pursuing creative hobbies that allow her imagination to wander. Her eclectic playlist is a point of pride, often jumping between songs in multiple languages without warning. Janice believes there is always something new to discover if you're willing to look a little closer. Her personal philosophy is simple: “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” — Confucius.
